This Gallery contains the best collection of the western world. Uffizi Gallery houses thousands of paintings and many antique sculptures from Giotto, Michelangelo, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Perugino, and many other famous artists. The building itself is huge with an extremely long courtyard. On top of that, there is a cafe that offers a nice terrace view.
Walk across The Ponte Vecchio
Ponte Vecchio is the oldest bridge in the city of Florence, built in 1345. The Ponte is full of expensive gold and silver jewelry shops. If you go there, you will have a breathtaking view of Arno River. Visitors can even find portrait artists and souvenir vendors there. However, if you want to sightsee any other attractions around as Palazzo Vecchio, Boboli Gardens and Pitti Palace, you may need a rental car that would be a real time-saver.
Tour the Bargello Museum
The Bargello Museum holds a collection of Renaissance sculpture and works of art. At this museum, there are masterpieces by Donatello, Luca della Robbia, Michelangelo and Cellini. There is a large collection of coins, bronzes and tapestries. And last but not least, you could see beautiful statues, frescoes, insignia and architecture. Therefore, this Museum is definitely worth a trip as there are lots of interesting things to discover.
Visit Fiesole’s Archaeological area
This is a nice spot that you should visit if you are planning a trip to Florence. First, there is the Etruscan Temple dedicated to Minerva. In this Archeological area, the remains of the Roman baths and Roman temple are to be discovered. In addition to that, you can find Bandini Museum that contains works from Della Robbia, Lorenzo Monaco, Bernardo Daddi, and Taddeo Gaddi. While in this Museum, you would probably want to see the Civic Museum. In the Civic Museum, there are many artifacts from the Roman period.
